What Is STEM?

STEM refers to an interdisciplinary approach to learning where science, technology, engineering, and mathematics are woven together through real-world contexts. STEM learning is designed to help students engage more deeply, make connections between ideas and between subject areas, and think critically to solve rigorous problems.

The goal of STEM education is to help create a 21st-century workforce where workers think on their feet, solve problems dynamically, see and leverage connections, and have the confidence to think creatively.

STEM learning aims to produce learners that will drive innovation and apply science, technology, engineering, and mathematics to solving the big, complex problems that impact us all.
